February kicks off Black History Month. Here are some events and opportunities to learn more this week: 

Feb. 1 - PBSUtah has compiled a number of videos filled with content on Race, Racism, and Being Black in America. Check out their list

Feb. 2 - Toxic masculinity has no compunction in its infectious nature into social constructs and the Black community is no stranger to gender binary and sexuality issues

Also on Feb. 2 - The National Wildlife Foundation will be streaming a roundtable on Increasing Safety and Access for Black Communities Roundtable discussion.

Feb. 3 -  Black Lives Matter Utah purchased a school bus two years ago and have been diligently turning it into Utah Black History Museum. Meet muralist Liz Lambson:

Feb. 4 - Reserve your spot via online ticket purchase, grab your masks, and head over to  the Utah Museum of Fine Arts and take in the Black Refractions: Highlights from The Studio Museum in Harlem.

Feb. 5 - Watch 3 Questions with Bob Evans: Interview with State Representative Sandra Hollins and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Utah’s first African-American woman to serve in the Utah State Legislature

Feb. 6 - Learn about the challenges Black and African and Carribean people face when accessing and enjoying the outdoors. And learn about ways in which together we can address barriers and challenges.
