The Equal Rights Amendment has become a major conversation in our country this year as women face a profound pink collar recession and need Constitutional protection more than ever. Utah Women and men deserve equal protection under the law.

Last year, Virginia became the 38th state to ratify the ERA. Bills are now before Congress to remove the arbitrary timeline and enshrine it in the U.S. Constitution. Congressman Curtis supports the ERA and voted to remove barriers to its passage. Utah's ratification can be the momentum to ensure this important Amendment is certified.

We are asking Utahns to reach out to their legislators this week to let them know that YOU WANT UTAH to be on the right side of history and vote TO SUPPORT THE ERA!

Please add your voice to the 71% of Utahns who want equality under the law for all.  Here is what to do:

  1. CLICK THIS LINK to email your SENATOR https://secure.everyaction.com/S7vHma10kUaO5OG5b_aVrg2

  2. It will automatically district them and send their message to their lawmakers.

  3. Erase the message in the box provided and insert your own message about why you personally support the ERA. Customization is key.

  4. URGE them to support Senator Riebe's bill SJR 008 for Utah to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment.

  5. Join the Utah ERA Coalition at this event THIS TUESDAY at the Utah State Capitol @ 11 A.M. to ask Senators for a public hearing before the end of session. Here is the link to the event https://fb.me/e/3Tkb8AzJW

We especially need to reach legislators on the Senate: Here are the Rules members

This effort is critical as the opposition is working overtime to send a different message. We can make a difference, but they NEED to hear from us!

Together we can ensure greater legal protections for all Utahns against discrimination on the basis of sex.
